Let's meditate together!

Learn the progressive stages and techniques of Buddhist meditation practice
1

Hi friends,

Contemporary spirituality and mindfulness may simplify meditation to a stress reduction technique but as I wrote last week, what’s transformative about persistent, structured Buddhist practice is its ability to help us metabolize and internalize a life-affirming worldview.

I’m excited to announce starting next week, I’ll be offering monthly video talks, guided meditations, and weekly gatherings focused on cultivating an embodied Buddhist meditation practice. I’m not interested in feeding you a ton of content, but helping you slowly deepen within the techniques themselves so you can cultivate agency and power in your practice. This is what you can expect:

Monthly video talks and guided meditations
You’ll receive short, 5-10 minute video talks (like the example above) 1-2 times a month, each explaining a different aspect of Buddhist meditation. I’ll also include an accompanying guided meditation via my Insight Timer profile.

Weekly meditation gatherings on Mondays 9am EST
We’ll meet on Mondays to kick-start your daily practice for the week and check-in as a larger community. We’ll start with introductions and then I’ll offer a guided meditation practice with a focus on the material sent to you via email.

Our first session is this upcoming Monday, April 7th. Paid subscribers will receive the Zoom link early Monday morning. An upgraded subscription also gains you access to the monthly book clubs, workshops, and the growing archive of recordings.

Here are some example topics of what we’ll learn this upcoming year:

  • How to establish your posture, what to do with your gaze, and how connecting to your body is not separate but integral to your practice

  • What is “right view” and how maintaining an understanding of it prevents your meditation from becoming a tool of self-aggression or adult nap time lol

  • What the progressive stages of shamatha meditation are and how it offers a foundation for engagement with other forms of Buddhist meditation

  • How to relate to strong emotions that will inevitably arise and cultivate self-compassion

We are living through times where resisting worldviews of individualism, othering, and oppression requires more than intellectual understanding—it demands a deeply spiritual and embodied response. I hope to help you cultivate a relationship with your meditation practice that deepens your ability to meet the world with greater intimacy and presence.

If you have any questions about this new offering, please let me know. If you’re unable to afford an upgraded subscription right now, please reach out by responding to this email. I’d love to practice with you.

In love and solidarity,
Adriana

P.S. The video above not only provides more information but also gives you a glimpse into my teaching style! I recommend giving it a listen.
