How to establish your meditation posture

What to do when your legs fall asleep and more!
1

Hi friends,

Taking the time to establish your meditation posture is an important but often overlooked aspect of learning how to meditate. While meditation is a practice of your heart-mind, connection to and awareness of your body can support and shape the quality of your attention.

We can also fall into a trap thinking that we need a new or official meditation cushion to sit properly but I purposely use random pillows and objects in the video demos to show that you don’t need a fancy cushion either!

In this video, you’ll learn:

  • The 7 points of seated meditation posture

  • The different types of cushions and supports you can use

  • How to sit in a chair if sitting on the floor isn’t available to you

  • What to do when you experience physical discomfort while seated

  • Two tricks to prevent your feet and legs from falling asleep

  • How maintaining a dignified posture supports your meditation practice
