Erin, SO happy to see that you’re joining! The Live Zoom will be on Sunday, March 30th 3-5pm ET! I plan to send a dedicated post with the Zoom link registration next week :)
Is it possible to sign up to join for specific months? I’d love to join but can’t commit for the whole year. I have some of these texts already and would love to read them with community.
Sara! You can definitely just join for one month and not others. You can “sign up” by becoming a paid sub for the month that we’re reading the text you want to join for and then simply cancelling you subscription from renewing again for the following month. I’d love to have you!
Adriana, this book club looks incredible! (Also, I feel like our paths may have crossed at Shambhala NYC in the mid-aughts at some point?) Will all of the book club meet-ups be on Thursday evenings ET? (If so I may have a scheduling conflict but if not I'd love to join!)
Ryan, hi!! Thanks so much—honestly this is a somewhat selfish way I can read all these awesome books again with thoughtful, dharma-inclined people lol And yes?!?! I started practicing there circa 2012 and was there till the doors closed in 2018. I’m planning on changing up the dates/times. Originally thought to host them on Sundays but thought that might be tricky with my little kiddo, but who am I kidding—it’ll be tricky during evening hours too haha. I’ll likely send out a poll for March’s Zoom call and would love to have you—especially when we get to read about abolition and parenting!
Parenting and scheduling — I get it! And I was practicing/volunteering there in pretty much that precise timeframe (!). Perhaps one day we’ll get to compare notes.
I have so much respect for Kelly Hayes’s writing and organizing capacities. She’s not on Substack but she has a great blog going on the Ghost platform: https://organizingmythoughts.org/
So excited about this space! Do you know when the discussion on Grace Lee Boggs’s book will be this month?

Great! I just finished “when no thing works” on a plane ride and did not get about 50% of it so feel I would greatly benefit from a discussion 🤣😭❤️🥰
I have yet to read it lol so I might be in the same boat, only time will tell! But looking forward to discussing/reading together!!

great list! I'm reading Let This Radicalize You right now.
Incredible—I’d love to discuss it with you when we read it again later this year!

Maia, I love Kelly's work too. Her newsletter is A+. If she was on Substack, I'd be restacking everything lol
